Georgia Sports Park (GSP) will positively contribute to the community in the Tri-Cities (East Point, College Park and Hapeville)  and South Fulton Area by developing and operating a Sports Park that serves the recreational needs of the Local, Metro, State, and Regional Areas. The main goals of GSP are:

• To impact the community in a positive way through sports.
• To improve the health and quality of life in the community, 
• To preserve green space in one of Atlanta's fastest developing areas.

The mission of the Georgia Soccer Development Foundation (GSDF), which operates Georgia Sports Park (GSP), is based on the following tenants:  

• Promote healthy habits by facilitating a variety of sports programs for the local community.
• Provide a family-friendly and safe location for sports programs
• Contribute to the personal development of youth and adults in the local community through the experiences and leassons learned through sports.
• Create opportunity and support for local programs by donating field and classroom space for their use.
• Generate a positive economic impact in the community by providing jobs when events are hosted at GSP.
• Serve as a model for other sports parks wanting to operate  and maintain high quality sports fields in a sustainable fashion.

CORE VALUES

Passion for Parks:
We are passionate about providing green space to Metro Atlanta, which is low on park space and sports fields. We hope to improve access to recreational opportunities in our local community, whilst simultaneously preserving the green space in a fast developing area of Atlanta.

Education:
We believe we have an obligation to ensure that the youth in our community continue to grow not only physically but mentally as well. Providing spaces for after-school programs and other organizations who contribute to the education of the children in the area is of utmost importance.

Quality of Life:
We believe that we must strive to help increase the quality of life enjoyed by the Tri-Cities/South Fulton County Community.  We will promote healthy habits and character-building through team sports. We will provide services without regard to race, religion, national origin, sex or creed.

Collaboration and Partnerships:
We will build strong partnerships between GSP and the residents and businesses in our surrounding community.  We respect the values and opinions of the residents in surrounding areas, recognizing that they are an important part of our team.  Building relationships with other non-profit organizations is one of our main goals and we welcome their involvement in our park.

Integrity in Youth Athletics:
We recognize the benefits of team sports for our youth and seek to make the sports experience safe, fun and healthy for ALL children. In addition, we promote the value and importance of sports and physical activity in the emotional, physical, social and mental development of youth. We believe that participation in sports and activities develops important character traits and lifelong values. Participation in sports is known to provide a positive impact on the lives of young people.
